Sunset Service is an inclusive, inter-spiritual community gathering that honors the multiplicity of our spiritual traditions, genders, ethnic backgrounds, abilities and sexual orientations; as well as that of our friends, family and allies.
The intention of Sunset Service over the last two years has been to create an inclusive space for marginalized communities of people, to come together in faith(s) and an atmosphere of affirmation and acceptance, combining prayer, poetry, meditation and music.
This special service, hosted in collaboration with Manifesto’s Spiritual Arts Programme, is entitled Speaking Life! Through the use of ritual it will focus on naming violence among male, youth communities as a spiritual dis-ease and wellness issue affecting both individuals, families and the greater community. The service will aim to make the link between both self-harm and interpersonal violence committed by men, and engage participants in the collective process of revealing and healing the social/emotional/spiritual root undergirding male violence; grief and loss.
The service will take place at 12 PM on Saturday, September 21st and acts as the opening to theSo Much Things to Say: Evolution Summit. Be sure to register here to take advantage of early bird pricing!
